Arrivals & Cancellations

Please arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to relax and complete a consultation form.
Late arrivals regrettably result in shortened treatment time, charged at full rate.
Credit card details may be requested to secure your appointment and a deposit may be charged for appointments over half an hour long.
Clients wishing to change or cancel an appointment are asked to provide twenty-four hours notice, or the full cost of the appointment may be chargeable.
Treatments may not be reduced on the day as your therapist’s time has been reserved especially for you.

Children

We regret that due to health and safety, we are unable to have children in the salon during treatment times unless pre-arranged with a senior member of staff. We understand that sometimes leaving your little one at home might be difficult so please let us know in advance of your treatment that this may be the case. We will try to accommodate you as far as possible but we have other clients in the salon whom we need to consider. There are certain treatments that unfortunately we need to be quite strict about children in the salon as it may be unsafe.

Patch Testing

As an insurance requirement for all tinting, eyelash extensions, laser treatment and medical treatments we are required to do a patch test 24 to 48 hours (1 week for medical treatments) before your appointment time. If you do not make provision for the patch test before your appointment we do reserve the right to cancel your appointment for your safety.

Complaints

Should you be unhappy with your visit to Rare for whatever reason, please allow us the opportunity to rectify any unhappiness caused by contacting us at the salon and speaking to a senior member of staff. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can email the salon directly on rarebeauty@btconnect.com and we will address your concerns as soon as we are able.

Courtesy

We respectfully request that all mobile telephones are switched off whilst you are in the salon as they can be quite disruptive to other clients enjoying treatments.

Deposits

During busy periods, deposits may be taken for treatments to secure booking times, however these are non refundable and non transferable.

Gift Vouchers

Beautiful Gift Vouchers are available to purchase

  • From the salon in person
  • Over the telephone

Vouchers are valid for a period of six months, are not subject to extension and cannot be exchanged for a cash value. They can be purchased for a specific treatment or a value.

Opening Times

Monday: 9.30am – 6pm.
Tuesday: 9.30am – 6pm.
Wednesday: 9.30am – 6pm.
Thursday: 9.30am – 8pm.
Friday: 9.30am – 6pm.
Saturday: 9am – 5pm.

Bank Holidays: if there is enough of a demand, we may at our discretion, open on certain bank holidays. Payment for any treatment booked will be taken in advance.

 

Parking

Easy parking is available close-by. However, due to all the building work taking place in Godalming we suggest to allocate a little extra time in case the parking lots closest to the salon are full. Mill street, Mint Street and South Street parking lots are all in easy walking distance of the salon.

Refunds

Please note that we do not offer refunds on any treatments or gift vouchers.

Special Consideration

Please advise our staff if you are pregnant or have any special medical needs so that treatments may be adapted or recommended.

Students

We are pleased to offer a treatment discount of 10% on production of evidence to support student status. This offer being available Monday – Friday excluding late nights.*

N.B. This percentage is not available on already discounted treatments, when using a loyalty card or existing offers.

* Excludes medical cosmetics, gift vouchers.

Therapist Requests

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that you have the therapist of your choice, we regret that this may not always be possible and could be subject to change.
